My Heart's Desire

My heart's desire for Kristin is a wonderful marriage and motherhood that she so desperately wants. After the horrific abuse that she suffered during the first twenty years of her life, I sincerely want her to have a life of triumph and happiness.

But for her to have that life, I remain convinced that the protector alter must accept the reality that she is suffering from borderline personality disorder and make the courageous decision to heal from it. As I told her many, many times, given her tenacity, perseverance, and with God's help, she can overcome borderline personality disorder, as Leslie Dickerson did.

I miss and will miss for the rest of my life the sweet alter of Kristin, all of the other alters who have integrated, all of the child alters, and look forward to seeing all of them in heaven as individuals or as one integrated Kristin.
