Wounded Lamb
Of
all 'Christians' from whom we sought help, five - an American
pastor's wife, an
American pastor, a
Korean pastor and his wife, and another
Korean pastor - saw and tried to help Kristin as Jesus' wounded lamb. None of
them had been particularly gifted to wage spiritual warfare, but they saw
Kristin as Jesus sees her and genuinely tried to help her
as best as they could.
Most of the rest, including the large expat church filled with missionaries, the Assemblies of God pastor, the Pentecostal church and its pastor treated her like a leper and wanted nothing to do with her, while a handful, including everyone we met who claimed to have been gifted for spiritual warfare, including the youth pastor, his mentor pastor, the Togolese evangelist, as well as the American counselor and the local pastors betrayed her and tried to use her for their selfish gains.
What will happen to those who rejected or tried to use this wounded lamb of Jesus?
Jesus said they will burn in the "everlasting fire":
"Depart from Me, you cursed, into the everlasting fire prepared for the devil
and his angels: for I was hungry and you gave Me no food; I was thirsty and you
gave Me no drink; I was a stranger and you did not take Me in, naked and you did
not clothe Me, sick and in prison and you did not visit Me." Then they also will
answer Him, saying, "Lord, when did we see You hungry or thirsty or a stranger
or naked or sick or in prison, and did not minister to You?" Then He will answer
them, saying, "Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did not do it to one of
the least of these, you did not do it to Me." (Matthew 25:41-45)
