Spiritually Oppressed

month thereafter, I was having lunch at a local market food stall in my southeast Asian city when someone brushed past
me and touched my shoulder. I looked up and it was Kristin. What is she doing here? She said she had just flown in and thought
that I would be here at this hour having lunch as usual. She said USA just isn't for her. She
felt too spiritually oppressed there, and even with the free rent, still
couldn't earn enough money from teaching
Chinese kids online to feed herself, so had flown out again. This time, she
had sold our car, as there would be no going back, and used the money from the
sale for the flight. She wanted us to get back together again.
I replied that while I can see and minister to her as a brother in Christ, I had made it clear to her before she left that if she leaves me to be with another man, I can never take her back. She replied that she had flown to Florida because she needed a rest. I replied that if that were the case, she would have told me up front before leaving, not plan with her male friend behind my back to fly out without saying a word to me. She apologized and asked me to forgive her. I told her that I accept her apology and forgive her, but do not trust her, as a woman who leaves a man to be with another man once could do it again. In fact, she had already moved on to looking for another husband, and had tried to get back with an Indian wolf in sheep's clothing even after I had exposed him, so she had no right to demand that I get back together with her.
She said that if I forgive her, then I must take her back. I told her that she should have thought about that before leaving me at the airport without even looking back at me once. Later, I also learned that instead of at least selling for cash the $1,000 "purity" ring that she had nagged me to buy her, she had taken it off and thrown it into a lake in a fit of rage as she thought about what happened before our wedding and felt that I had rejected her. She also had burned the suitcase emblazoned with "JERUSALEM" that she had asked me to buy her in the Old City of Jerusalem, as well as everything else that I had ever bought her and all of our pictures. And now, she is back asking me to take her back? I told her that while she does whatever her emotions tell her to do, I keep my word even against my emotions.
