Get Out

Get OutI went to her room one late morning, found her awake but still in bed, asked her if she wants to continue to stay in the Airbnb we were in or move to another one, and began to explain the pros and cons, when she asked me if I could explain the pros and cons to her after taking her to McDonald's so that she can get a cup of coffee and be better able to concentrate. Her question was fine and it was asked by the nice alter. But when I explained to her that I unfortunately need her answer now because I need to get back to the Airbnb host before noon, the protector alter stepped in, began yelling, pointed to the door of the apartment, and ordered me, "Get out!"

So I yelled back at her, "You get out! How dare you tell me to get out of the place that I am paying for to provide you shelter? I even gave you the master bedroom and am staying in the kid's bedroom, so show a little appreciation."

Neither of us got out, I extended the stay, took her to McDonald's, and the incident was forgotten as just one of the many that were increasing in frequency.

Five days later, I called out to Kristin from my room. Kristin's bedroom was closer to the door of the apartment. My bedroom was further back and separating us were the kitchen, dining room and bathroom. Not hearing her response, I went to her room, called out again, knocked on her door, and still heard no answer, so opened it to find the room empty. Kristin was gone, along with all of her belongings in the room. She had forgotten her clothes in the closet outside her room, so she apparently had snuck out in a hurry.

My messages asking about her whereabouts went unanswered for a week until she finally replied that she is in Warsaw, the capital city of Poland. Why had she left? She said it was because I had kicked her out. What was she talking about? She then reminded me of our exchange above; this alter had felt like leaving so she had carved out my "You get out!" reply out of context from five days earlier to fit her emotions. She said she is done with me because instead of marrying her as I should, I had kicked her out. I replied that us being done is fine, but if she left because I had kicked her out as she is claiming, why then had she snuck out without saying a word? And why had she been so preoccupied with not being detected that she had left behind her clothes in the closet outside her bedroom? She simply repeated her claim and said that she is flying back to southeast Asia.

I had signed the contract and had the receipt and the key for the storage locker in the capital city of the southeast Asian country where her luggage was stored with mine. So I took a bus to Warsaw and flew out as well, met her at the airport in southeast Asia, took her to the storage locker, and took our luggage and her in a taxi back to the coastal town where we had stayed before leaving for Israel.

She said she wanted to stay in a place of her own but had spent her first paycheck from online teaching to pay for her flight and asked for money for an Airbnb for one month as the last financial help she will ever ask from me, then used the money that I gave her to book a place that non-residents cannot enter without the residents' permission.
