Doreen Irvine

Doreen IrvineFrom Witchcraft to Christ is an autobiography of a woman named Doreen Irvine that details her abusive childhood, becoming a prostitute, then a Satanist, then a witch, and eventually becoming the head of an order of witches for North America and the United Kingdom. God in his grace saved Doreen Irvine, and pastors at a church spent about nine months casting some fifty demons out of her before she was fully cleansed.

When Kristin arrived from China, I originally had expected the demon that had entered her in China to be cast out in a few minutes, after which we could go and have dinner. What I had expected to take a few minutes was taking months. By this time, I was sure that we were dealing with more than just the demon that entered her in China. The spiritual warfare seemed to be removing layers of spiritual dirt to expose the horrific sexual and spiritual abuses that she had suffered, but that's what she had suffered from others, not what she had inflicted on others. Kristin had never been the head witch for an entire continent like Doreen Irvine had been, so why was it taking so long to get all of these demons out of Kristin? What were we missing or doing wrong? Spiritual warfare was exhausting and we were both very, very tired.

There was one thing that I was certain about Kristin: she loves Jesus, which means He loves her. She loved reading the Bible, singing hymns and praise songs to God and sometimes spent the entire day reading His word and singing to Him. And when she prayed, she cried out to Him with love, submission, fervor and intimacy that was both awesome and humbling for me to witness.

I told Kristin that she is already a miracle of God. Most women who suffer what she had suffered from her father would be living on the streets, in jail, in a mental institution, or dead. But she was different. Here she was, crying out to God and clinging to Him with amazing courage, faith and intimacy that only He can grant. Jesus loves her very much and will deliver her, so she should take heart and be encouraged.
